Diets & Weight Loss – Foods That Fight The Flab

If you're like me, whenever you're trying to lose weight you still want to be able to eat your favorite foods. Whether they're chocolate, ice cream, barbecue ribs, or ribeye steaks, you want to eat what you like and you want to eat it as often as you'd like to.

I know exactly how you feel, unfortunately a lot of my favorite foods do not help me to fight flab, they help me to keep flab and that's not good for anyone trying to lose weight.

So I went on a quest. It was a quest to find foods that I liked that would still help me to fight fat and too help me in my quest to lose weight. I actually came up with a list of a lot of different foods that I like to eat, do not eat often enough, and they actually taste good and help to fight fat. I was feeling generous and I decided that I would share the same list with you!

Fruits

I love granny smith apples. I've always liked granny smith apples but I did not know that they actually do help to fight fat. From my research I learned that any kind of hard fruit, like an apple, will take time to eat and will also fill me up, helping to weak any hunger cravings that I might have.

Did you know that celery uses more energy to eat than it actually provides the body? You actually burn more calories eating celery than what it contains! I like celery, especially with peanut butter, and I was ecstatic to learn that. In the past it's been one of my favorite snacks, so I guess it's time to add it back into my eating regime.

Vegetables

If you're like me and you like to constantly nibble on something, carrots are the best snack for that. They are low in calories and even add fiber to your diet as well. I especially like to dip baby carrots in some fat free dressing (preferably Ranch dressing) and snack on them all day long.

My mom always loved sweet potatoes and come to find out; they're actually good for you! Their calorie count is very low and they do not raise your blood sugar levels.

Meats

Shrimp is one of my favorite meats, period. I love some grilled shrimp. I then found out that it has lower calories than chicken and sirloin and, needless to say, that made my day!

If you're a sushi fan, you're in luck! You can keep eating it without any worries. Sushi's combination of low calories and high protein make it another great flab fighting food that's available.

So there you have it! There are tons of other great snacks out there that will help you fight flab and they're not hard to find if you just spend a little time looking. Start eating them and watch the flab melt away!
